Instructions
To make Healthy Snickers Donuts: 1. Slice your apple into thick rounds and remove the core. 2. Spread peanut butter on each slice. 3. Dip in melted chocolate. 4. Sprinkle on the crushed peanuts. 5. Top with homemade caramel sauce. 6. Put them in the fridge for a few minutes to chill and enjoy! To make Keto-Friendly Caramel Sauce: 1. Add 1/4 cup butter and 1/3 cup brown sweetener to a sauce pan over medium heat. 2. Bring to a boil for 3-4 minutes. 3. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup heavy cream. While it’s bubbling whisk in 1/8 tsp xanthan gum. Add a pinch of salt. 4. Put back over medium heat and let boil for a minute or two. (Don’t let it burn) 5. Remove from the heat, let it cool and stir in 2 tbsp water. Once fully combined, store in a jar refrigerated for up to a week. Pro Tip: I recommend using a brown sweetener like truvia or swerve if you’re keeping it keto.View original recipe
